A lively identity designed for a conceptual fine dining Italian restaurant in Melbourne CBD.
The naming originated from ‘confetti’ sugar almond sweets from the hills of Italy, while the custom logo was created from an Italian designed typeface.
The elegant branding, paired with classic black and white imagery, results in a contemporary yet playful, cohesive identity suite.
Tucked deep in what was once very much a part of Melbourne’s thoroughbred racing scene, the land on which Farmer St stands began its life in 1910 as a horse stable for the nearby Richmond Racecourse.
The embodiment of industrial opulence, Farmer St takes full advantage of the unique spaces and possibilities offered by a former stables environment. Soaring double-storey ceilings, voids and vertically suspended fireplaces offer a living experience at a size and scale that is rarely seen in Melbourne’s inner city.
Arctic Mirage took to creating a brand campaign that encompasses elements of the heritage-listed 1910 equine stables and the industrial opulence and modern-luxe architectural style of the Farmer St development. Bold and edgy, but with a sophisticated foundation, The Farmer St brand reflects the development’s unique aspects: cutting edge architectural design, unrivalled heritage located within one of Melbourne’s most exciting inner city locales.
Olivia is an exclusive selection of residences designed by the prominent Melbourne architect, Christopher Doyle, in collaboration with landscape architect Jack Merlo.
Designed to create a sense of individuality at an iconic bayside address, Olivia presents unprecedented luxury through unique architecture and a rich, opulent material palette. This was reflected across our marketing campaign, with attention paid to refined layouts, and a nautical colour palette. Olivia embodies femininity, merging classic with contemporary.
Arctic Mirage was commissioned to carry out a marketing campaign for a boutique development in burgeoning Bentleigh. Our client, a keen collaborator, had given the studio creative control over the deliverables.
The Blair Fields identity uses a modern typeface with hairline serifs, referencing the fine attention to detail that can be found within.
Backman & Co
The extensive experience of the Backman & Company family business, which has been operating since 1978, has been captured in their corporate branding by pairing a more traditional, high-contrast ampersand with a modern and bold typeface. This contrast is reiterated through the classic white and black colour palette.
Situated at the very heart of Bentleigh’s retail and café precinct, Alba is the first of its kind in Bentleigh, offering design conscious apartments in a thriving locale.
Arctic Mirage oversaw the branding and marketing roll-out, that included a comprehensive display suite and large-scale exterior signage.
It was only fitting the brand reference the building’s lightweight façade. Workshopping sessions led the way to Alba. Meaning ‘white’ in Latin, Alba is a contemporary, minimal brand that has been our constant reference point throughout the process, creating a cohesive design that manifests itself in both print, digital and the built environment.
Meet Malvern East’s newest addition ‘The Bank’. The original facade of the building has been immaculately preserved to honour its past life as a bank, while the new development features subtle contemporary touches throughout to bring the residence into the 21st century. With these rich and contrasting influences as the driving ideology behind the development, we worked to create an identity that equally encompassed this crossover of old and new.
The result was a branding concept that was structured to be reminiscent of old-style banking receipts, paired with a modern typeface and gold foil embellishments that allow for a sleek and sophisticated finish.
Seventy Seven South
Presenting five exclusive town residences in an established surrounds. Working closely with NTF Architects and Preer, Seventy Seven South is sensitively crafted with a focus on high end living at the forefront of its design. Claiming an enviable location in one of Melbourne’s most exclusive suburbs, Seventy Seven South is perfectly positioned to enjoy the very best of Brighton.
A clean colour palette and a refined typographic style reflects the high level of consideration that can be seen across the finishes and aesthetics of Seventy Seven South.
The deep green branding embodies the tree lined street scape, while the secondary tones used throughout reflect the neutral palette applied to the exterior and interior design of the development.
Sullivan & Co
The Sullivan & Co brand was developed around the client’s preference for a clean, elegant aesthetic. After trialling pairings of black with copper or gold, we finally settled for the timeless black and white duo.
The bold serif features a delicate, high-contrast detail, that ensures a memorability to the company name. It inspires a sense of stability, whilst maintaining a flexibility that allows for use in different collaterals and colour tones as required.
Esplanade 121 is a beautiful, curated collection of two esteemed town houses that draw heavily on the curated lifestyle offerings of Elwood.
Referencing deep marine blues, Esplanade 121 is a rich interpretation of inner-city bayside living. The interior design is an expression of contemporary living, with a restrained material palette that cohesively unifies the spaces. Textured stone adds depth and interest, whilst dark stained timber floor boards unify the living spaces all the while creating a rich base palette for the town home’s encompassing volumes.
The graphic elements are clean and evoke a sense of refined coastal living through delicate use of illustration. A palette of navy and white was paired with a contemporary layout that honestly reflects the modern architectural response. Luxurious finishing details such as an embossed linen cover and a copper foiling throughout, create an aesthetic that perfectly fits in with the high-end target market of the development.
Positioned just 7km from the CBD, this collection of 17 apartments benefits from the enviable leafy setting of Fairfield.
Eugene Cheah Architecture draws on the area’s industrial roots, with robust and rich textured concrete exterior enhanced by the lush garden outlook.
We combined sleek branding with concrete inspired greys, and touches of green as we endeavoured to reflect both the character and the location of the development. The design was kept minimal and clean, allowing for the development's striking features to speak for themselves.
The brand identity for Unfold Architecture, an emerging practice with a strong philosophy that architecture should start from emotion, adopted a suitable colour scheme that triggers an emotive experience just the same: deep blue sea background contrasted with rose gold typography.
The logo design started with a play of letter folding, resulting in the silhouette of a building. It was thought to be a strong yet elegant solution to suit the design aesthetic of the practice founder.
Elegant feature typography and warm, authentic notes are the focus for these sets of wedding invitations.
